History of Stockton First Baptist Church

Stockton First Baptist began as a mission of Southside Baptist Church in Bay Minette.  On October 9, 1963, Southside voted unanimously to organize and sponsor a mission in Stockton.

The mission was organized and initiated on Sunday, November 3, 1963.  In June 1964, the mission called its first pastor.  The church moved into the Sanctuary on July 17th, 1966.  The building was dedicated on November 7th, 1966, and became a church in March of 1977.

Fast forward 50 years and the Sanctuary of Stockton First Baptist still holds services every Sunday.  Stockton First Baptist is a light of ministry in this small community.  Our hope is it will continue to stand for many years to come...

Stockton First Baptist Church is a church on fire for Christ, made up of a body of believers, with a desire to love and serve our community with the love of Christ.

Join us at Stockton First Baptist as we follow

the Great Commission to bring others to Christ.

And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”   Matthew 28:18-20
